Biasanya twitan mereka adalah untuk promosi album mereka yang akan keluar 24 September nanti, Xylo Myloto (eh apa Mylo Xyloto? yah itulah ya pokoknya) dan promosiin single terbaru mereka yang akan keluar 12 September nanti, "paradise". Viva La Vida itself means Long Live Life in Spanish. Many speculators said this song is all about the French Revolution because of the following line: "Now the old king is dead, long live the king". It is a line that being shouted when Louis XV was dead and his grandson, Louis XVI should be the king. Even it is a common line for the death of king of monarch, but I don't know why, I always remember the death of Louis XV when I heard this line.
But for a girl who is in love, I guess it is a love song. Well, the meaning of a song could be interpreted by its listeners and their mood, right? *wink
How could this song be interpreted to a love song? Well, I guess the first verse is talking about the life I had before I met that guy, the guy I fall for. When I thought my world is pretty pretty, something fucked up, but still pretty pretty. But when I met him, and fell for him, and saw how he could turn my world upside down, made me realized that my so called happiness was built upon pillars of salt and pillars of sand. And my world is pretty ugly. And the following lines could be translated, from my point of view, that people waiting for the time of despair defeats me:
